Con el fin de proyectar acciones comunes para erradicar la violencia, se llevará a cabo la segunda edición del Foro Contra toda forma de Violencia y Discriminación (Argentina No Violenta). El mismo tendrá lugar entre el 20 y 22 de septiembre de 2007 en la Regional Buenos Aires de la Universidad Tecnológica Nacional (UTN).
El encuentro fue organizado por La Comunidad para el Desarrollo Humano, el Instituto Nacional contra la Discriminación, la Xenofobia y el Racismo (Inadi), el Centro de la Culturas, la Fundación Mundo Sin Guerras el Instituto Movilizador de Fondos Cooperativos y la Liga Nacional por los Derechos del Hombre, la Secretaría de Derechos Humanos del Gobierno de la Provincia de Buenos Aires, la Universidad Tecnológica Nacional, regional Buenos Aires, Está auspiciado por la Secretaría Nacional de Niñez, Adolescencia y Familia del Ministerio de Desarrollo Social, la Universidad de Buenos Aires y la Red Solidaria de Juan Carr.
El principal propósito del Encuentro es promover el intercambio de experiencias entre grupos e instituciones que trabajan para la superación de la violencia. “No hay cómo aislarse de este problema ni cómo resolverlo de forma individual”, comenta el vocero de la Comunidad para el Desarrollo Humano, Víctor Piccininni. “El Foro Argentina No Violenta es un espacio de convergencia donde estamos comenzando a elaborar nuevas respuestas a un problema compartido del que muchas veces se piensa erróneamente que no hay ninguna salida”.
Se espera que este año concurra un 50% más de asistentes que en la primera edición, cuando confluyeron más de mil personas de 108 organizaciones de distintas localidades del país. Entre las actividades previstas se destacan las mesas de intercambio por áreas temáticas (violencia familiar, ecología, violencia laboral, diversidad sexual, violencia institucional, etc), paneles sobre temas específicos, a cargo de especialistas y conferencias.
En 2006, el Foro reunió la adhesión de decenas de agrupaciones, entre las que sobresalen las Madres de Plaza de Mayo Línea Fundadora, el Club de Amigos de la UNESCO Buenos Aires, la Asociación de Prensa de Buenos Aires, el Frente de Usuarios Desesperados del Sarmiento.
